This very light, petite, Kentucky Rifle is a wonderful example of Early Americana. An
original, not a re-conversion, Flintlock Lady's Rifle, about .28 Calibre. Overall length
is (50") inches. Barrel is (34 1/2") inches. The pictures clearly address the quality,
the engraving, and the classic style. The original flint lock was made by "Osborne-
Gunby", Birmingham, England, Circa: 1780-1815. This Kentucky Rifle was probably
made between 1780- 1810. The flintlock hammer represents an earlier pattern, while
the lock has a roller frizzon, which would be of a "later- 1800+" improvement in
lock design. This fine old Kentucky Rifle has been in a private estate for many
years. All inquiries welcome.
