This is a Magnificent 1851 Colt Thuer Conversion. Serial # 1843xx, Circa: 1865. The 7 1/2"
barrel is marked: "Address Col. Sam'l Colt New York City". British proofed on barrel and
cylinder. The English style bag flask is marked: "Colt's Pocket Flask". This Thuer Conversion
is in absolutely untouched, original condition. Srong case colors.The bore is mint, most of the
cylinder pins are intact. Lockup is tight. 90% original varnish on the grips with minor scratches,
and an excellent cylinder scene. The backstrap is engraved: "Capt Byron W Beauchamp No.14"
Case lining is faded in some areas with minor seperation under the Colt. This Thuer Conversion
has been in the McLean Estate since 1938. All provenance and historical documentation reference
"Capt Byron W. Beauchamp" accompanies this investment.
